erstererster
erstererster is a bright space for art, design and new work. erstererster is also a community consisting of creative and cultural professionals. The location is easily accessible, right in the centre of the lively Helmholtz neighbourhood.
My freeform painting project was selected by erstererster in their call for charitable projects. The organisation provides me with the gallery space to share the effectiveness of art for well-being and awareness and to bring people closer to it.
The large windows of the gallery provide light and space and open up access to the otherwise hidden painting process. This atmosphere – with the highly pigmented, extremely finely ground colour by the Swiss company Lascaux – offers a sensual experience for the painters. As host and coach, I create the space for non-judgemental, mindful activity.
Painting – beyond words
Be in contact with yourself.
Start somewhere – intuitively.
Mindful and focussed.
Perceive energy, expand your awareness.
Attentive.
When I calm down, my vision and my room for manoeuvre expand – navigating instead of wandering.
Follow your own track.
Concentration creates quality.
The painters can explore themselves, surrender to the moment, their intensity, their sensitivity and follow their intuition without expectation. Communication with oneself and with each other is created in an aesthetically clear and relaxed atmosphere.
– 4 sessions max. 6 persons
– bookable individually
A contribution of 15 euros towards the materials is very welcome.
Participation after registration – on a “first come first serve” basis.
My background
The Freeform Painting project combines the two aspects of my work synergistically: painting and coaching.
You can find my work as a painter here on this website. You can find more information about my work as a coach and painting therapist on my coaching website sein-tun-lassen.de.
While painting, I experienced how the process of painting can expand one’s own experiential space. This touched me so deeply that I looked for a way to make this experience accessible to others and discovered guided painting as the ideal mediator.
I completed my training in person-orientated painting therapy with May Carro Cabaleiro in Potsdam in cooperation with the Institute for Humanistic Art Therapy in Zurich with Bettina Egger and Urs Hartmann. This gave me confidence and method.
This training enables me to work independently as a painting therapist with children and adults in the educational, psychosocial and socio-cultural fields.
As a humanistic systemic coach (certified by the Schulz von Thun Institute), I have been working with people for six years to develop new ways of feeling, thinking and acting in their life situations, integrating the positively transformative power of painting therapy.
I am interested in lightness, as it is the source of positive development. My aim is to make guided painting flexible and easily accessible in any location in order to make a contribution to togetherness. Through painting, individual potential can be developed, crises can be overcome and healing can be supported. The feeling of being cared for, accepted and self-effective can have an enormous impact and also stimulate one’s own creative power, away from media and consumption, towards one’s own needs, towards inner stability, through individual expression, compassion and the courage to trust oneself.
