The Uferhallen are an important production and presentation location for art and culture in Berlin and, in addition to studios, also accommodate dance and rehearsal rooms, recording studios, a concert hall and an exhibition hall, workshops, restaurants and a wide range of event rooms. More than 150 artists live and work on the site and with several hundred visitors every day, the Uferhallen are a central place for cultural exchange and an integral part of the cultural scene and urban society of Berlin.
During Berlin Art Week, on the weekend of September 14 and 15, the art studios of the Uferhallen and the entire site will open their doors to visitors.
I am delighted that works by Gauthier Cerf will be exhibited again this year. Take a look at his artworks on his website.

Our guests from Switzerland: the artists Tonneke and Fred Voorhorst
Tonneke’s quilting works combine delicacy, precise accuracy, strength and letting go with the sensual materiality of the fabric.
Collages are created that radiate warmth, intensity and security. As sure as the line in a drawing, as purposeful and free.
Fred draws scenes that touch him and stick in his memory and transforms them into comic-like works.
His digital works, materialized in fine art prints, are imbued with his way of thinking – open, with fine esprit and curiosity to perceive the world.
